Avid fishermen and all around outdoorsman with an interest in all things natural. Chris attended WSU as a History/Anthropology major in the early 90’s where his interest in the subject became more serious after a semester of Anthropology 101 taught by the late Grover Krantz. After an intense experience while camping  with his 13 year old son in 2013 Chris began actively searching for evidence of the target subjects. In 2015 his focus in the field turned to audio recording and still is today. His goals are not only learning more about the behavior of the target subjects through long term field studies of specific areas and the fauna with in those areas but improving on audio recording and vetting potential suspect sounds has become a major part of his field work.

Ep. 320 Todd Neiss, Veteran and Bigfoot Researcher

Join me as I speak with Todd Neiss about his experiences and research. As well as his incredible first sighting that launched him on a life-long mission to prove this mystery we call bigfoot.
Bigfoot witness-turned-researcher, Todd M. Neiss has been an active investigator for over 28 years. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he grew up hearing of these legendary creatures, alternately known as Bigfoot or Sasquatch, but gave it little credibility beyond that of a good old-fashioned campfire tale designed to frighten young campers. All of that changed for Todd in the spring of 1993.
Since that fateful day, Neiss has conducted numerous investigations including several long-term expeditions in the Coastal, Cascade and Blue Mountain Ranges of Oregon & Washington, as well as Northern California, Arizona, Alaska, Nebraska and British Columbia. Todd believes that, in the tradition of Jane Goodall, Biruté Galdikas and Diane Fossey, the best way to obtain credible evidence of the existence of these fascinating beings is to insert a small research team into the heart of prime Bigfoot habitat for an extended period of time; ideally for 45 to 60-day rotations. In doing so, he hopes to acclimatize the creatures to their presence and eventually overcome their inherent apprehension of humans.
Neiss co-founded the American Primate Conservancy with his wife, Diane Stocking Neiss five years ago. The conservancy was granted a “Domestic Non-Profit Corporation” status by the state of Oregon On October 15, 2015.  Their primary mission is “the discovery, knowledge, research, recognition, and protection of the Sasquatch.”  The organization has been quietly organizing expeditions, conducting investigations, and participating in multi-media and public speaking engagements in an effort to promote their agenda.  They have been actively pursuing grants, donations, sponsorships and volunteers for ongoing research projects.
Todd and his wife currently live near Mount Hood, 50 miles east of Portland, Oregon.  Nestled in the beautiful Cascaded Mountains, the “Chateau de Squatch” is in an ideal location for which to conduct their research and serves as the temporary headquarters for the conservancy.

Hood National Forest served to deepen the passion of his pursuit.
Shane has done extensive Bigfoot related research in California, Oregon, and Washington, and spends a tremendous amount of time in the field camping, hiking, and exploring. Larry “Beans” Baxter was born in Kentucky, he spent his youth hunting and fishing in the remote areas of Muhlenberg County. His interest in the unexplained and cryptozoology started at a young age, after reading many books on the subject and watching such classics as The Legend of Boggy Creek and In Search of. He enlisted in the Army in his early 20’s, and found himself stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska. Over the next four years he developed a passion for exploring Alaska’s vast wilderness.
When his military service came to an end, Beans started a career in law enforcement. First serving with the Saint Paul Police Department on the remote island of Saint Paul in the Bering Sea. After three years, he transferred to Homer Police Department on the Kenai Peninsula. After eight years as a patrolman and attending a variety of training and classes in investigation, he was promoted to Investigations Sergeant. Over the next four years, Beans investigated homicides, burglaries, missing persons, and assault cases.
Beans has been fortunate to participate in two expeditions to the remote abandoned town site Port Chatham in search of the Hairy Man or Nantiinaq as the local natives call it.

Jerimiah was always taught the ways of woods. His Gramm would tell him stories of the bigfoot and other cryptids in the Mohawk lore. He enjoyed the stories until one day at the age of 7, his mother showed him a picture in a book called mysteries of the unexplained. There was a picture of the famous bigfoot by the name of Patty and from that point on he was obsessed. He was always a believer. But he didn’t become a knower until he had his first encounter in 2000. Jerimiah has researched all over the country and experienced many of the same things from different types of this creature. Since his first sighting in 2000, Jerimiah has witnessed and had up close and personal experiences with several other Sasquatch as well as other entities as well if that's what you want to call them.
Jerimiah teamed up with Gary Spikes, Travis Bowen, Israel Barreto, Nate Rudd, Corey Rudd, JR Kitchen and Shawn Wilson to start a collaboration group. This is a collaboration of Jerimiah’s group which is called “On The Trail Cryptid Paranormal Research Group”, Gary's group “D3 Productions”, and Nate's group “Washington Idaho Bigfoot Research Society”. They run three shows are about to start more projects called “On The Trail - In Search of Living Legends”, which is their interview show talking to people that have had encounters of many different types of beings including Bigfoot. They also have the scoop session round table which is a discussion group strictly on Bigfoot topics. In addition to that, they also have the CIS the Cryptid Investigation Society. Which is Jerimiah, Gary, and an affiliate for a certain agency who is a forensics investigator. Lastly Gary and Jerimiah just started the new show which will be released very shortly called “The Bigfoot Tribal Tribute with Fountain and Spikes”. Jerimiah is married to paranormal investigator, fellow Cryptid Investigator, and best friend Stacey Fountain.
